DARA presented the HRI in the V Conference of the Spanish Evaluation Society

The Humanitarian Response Index (HRI) was presented on September 24, 2007 in the V Conference of the Spanish Evaluation Society, held in Santiago de Compostela. During the session on international cooperation, DARA described the contributions of the HRI as an instrument that will evaluate the donors’ commitment to the Principles of Good Humanitarian Donorship.
The Conference analysed in depth the various practical experiences that contribute to the governments’ transparency and accountability. University representatives, and Spanish social organizations and institutes participated in the meeting. Several guests from Latin American universities and public agencies also attended, and were able to become familiar with the characteristics and contributions of the HRI.
